3 Gifts From a King

Birth

Jesus was born in an animal shed . . .

Wise Men

But He was . . . . . . . . . . . . . a King!

He came not to be served, but to serve . . .    (Matthew 20:28)

Jesus Gives 3 Priceless Gifts to His Family
(all Christians)

1.   Jesus gives you His death:

Cross70"God demonstrates His own love toward us . . . while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us"
      (Romans 5:8).

"The LORD caused the iniquity of us all to fall on Him" (Isaiah 53:6).

His death delivers you from the punishment of God due to your sin!

2.    Jesus gives you His righteousness:

Bethesda80"Those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ" (Romans 5:17).

"God made Him Who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him" (2 Corinthians 5:21).

Jesus lived a perfect life, loving and serving God fully without any stopping, for 33 years.
He could have lived this way indefinitely, but ended His life to give you the gift of His death.
Along with His death -  He gives you the merit of His perfect life.

You have a standing of His perfection before God forever!

3.  Jesus gives you His Holy Spirit:

The Holy Spirit"It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. . . (Galatians 2:20).

"Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit Who is from God"
(1 Corinthians 2:12).

Jesus purchased your life from eternal death - He owns it - He controls it for His glory and your good!

Jesus guides you into obedience, sacrifice and blessing through His Holy Spirit
             Who dwells in you.

        The Holy Spirit:

  1. Gives you spiritual life (the ability to live for and respond to God):
" . . . you have received a spirit of adoption as sons" (Romans 8:15).

  2. Gives you the assurance of heaven and your salvation:
"By this we know that we abide in Him and He in us . . . He has given us of His Spirit" (1 John 4:13).

  3. Gives you spiritual abilities, or spiritual gifts, by which you serve God and others in the Church:
"To each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good" (1 Corinthians 12:7).

  4. Gives you spiritual guidance:
"For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God" (Romans 8:14).

  5. Gives you spiritual understanding:
"We have received . . . the Spirit Who is from God, that we might know the things freely given to us by God" (1 Corinthians 2:12-13).

  6. Gives you the power to fight and subdue sin:
" . . . if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live" (Romans 8:13).

  7. Gives you the power to pray properly to God:
"We do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit intercedes for us" (Romans 8:26).

  8. Gives you joy in loving, serving and sacrificing for God and others like Jesus did:
"The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience . . ." (Galatians 5:22).
